The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) is a private, non-profit, membership based organization that was established in 1934. They are the official destination marketing organization for the four-county, Pocono Mountains region of Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Wayne. The region is famous for its resorts, natural scenic beauty, 150 lakes including Lake Wallenpaupack, and quaint, historic towns. The organization’s mission is to enhance the economic and environmental well-being of the region and its members through the promotion of tourism and the comprehensive marketing of the Pocono Mountains as a destination.

Outcome & Successes
We leaned heavily on the Milliron Goodman team from the first day Governor Wolf announced the closure of all non-essential businesses in the Commonwealth. With their guidance and leadership, Milliron Goodman advocated for our best interests and were able to see that our concerns, viewpoints, and ideas were heard by our state legislators. Ultimately, Milliron Goodman played an important role in the safe reopening of the travel and tourism industry in the Pocono region, allowing PMVB and our members to again open their doors to the public, with proper health procedures in place.
